The story
Occupying a 32 ft × 50 ft corner plot in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, this B+G+2 residence for Mr. Aarif reinterprets classical luxury for contemporary family life. The approximately 1,600 sq. ft. footprint carries a basement, ground floor and two upper storeys, executed in 2020 at a scale and level of detailing typical of the period.
Grand arched glazing, classical pediments, fluted columns and layered banding give the corner elevation its formal presence, while ornate balconies and careful proportioning keep the massing from feeling heavy. Inside, the plan makes room for dedicated study and prayer spaces alongside the everyday living, dining and bedroom accommodation that a family home needs.
The project reflects a considered balance between timeless architectural detailing and modern living requirements — proportion and ornament in service of a genuinely liveable home.
