The story
This 10' × 15' living room interior explores a soft aqua and deep teal minimalism, deliberately avoiding wall panelling, fluting or heavy decorative treatment. Instead, character comes from the sofa fabric, the wall colour, the lighting and a handful of carefully chosen accessories — a design principle summed up as ‘colour, fabric and light, not panelling, create the luxury.’
Matte aqua walls set a calm, soft-blue backdrop for a compact L-shaped sofa in deep teal velvet, finished with a scatter of teal, aqua and gold-embroidered cushions. A plain TV wall with a slim floating console, a small white open bookshelf with integrated LED spots, and a light marble-look coffee table keep the furniture visually light within the modest room size.
Warm 3000K lighting — concealed shelf lights, a single wall light and a simple recessed cove in the ceiling — ties the palette together, while sheer aqua curtains and restrained brass accents complete a room designed to feel airy, considered and quietly luxurious.
